San Marcos, TEXAS- During the COVID-19 pandemic, two groups have been affected severely: essential workers and college students. Essential workers everywhere are on the front lines interacting with society daily to keep us all going. Here’s a listen to what it’s like to work in an essential service – oa pharmacy.

College students, who have had all of their courses turned online, struggle to finish out this semester strong. What happens when you fall into both groups? I talk with Erendida Arzola, a University of Houston student and H-E-B cashier, about how life has been for her balancing school and work during the pandemic.

What can the modern day consumer do to stand with our essential workers at this time?

The situation at hand is overwhelming for both essential workers and consumers alike. In what ways can consumers aid essential workers to keep as many people safe and healthy as possible?
