MR Fest, or My Radio Festival was founded in San Marcos, Texas by the Teas State University student run radio station KTSW-FM 89.9. The festival has grown over the last ten years and continues to attract new artist every year. What started as a modest way to get students out of the dorms and downtown has now reached peak music festival.
The festival has its roots in the city of San Marcos with many bands coming in from different cities around Texas.
This year marks MRfrest’s 10th annual festival with KTWS and San Marcos.
KTSW’s motto is “No wrist band, no problem.” The free festival takes place in the last weekend of April.

With over 60 bands in two days, MRfest has something for everybody.
Passerbye, A band from Houston was added last minute to the festival line up.
The band describes themselves as a electronic hip hop fusion blend.
Every music genra from blue grass to heavy metal can be expected at MRfest.
