Blake Kiffe enjoys thrift shopping at local stores in San Marcos, Texas. He believes “everyone should recycle and shop secondhand clothing in order to reduce our environmental impact,” said Kiffe. Love Buzz is another vintage thrift shop on LBJ Blvd. in downtown San Marcos, Texas that only sells donated or exchanged secondhand clothing. LaClea Miles is a student at Texas State University who thrifts and upcycles all of her clothing. “The beauty about upcycling is that I can make a simple t-shirt into something nobody else has,” said Miles. Vagabond is yet another vintage thrift shop on the same street, LBJ Blvd. in Downtown San Marcos, Texas. Much like other thrift shops near them they take donations and exchanges for one of a kind secondhand clothing. Benny Rice is a San Marcos, Texas resident and has worked at Vagabond for the last two years. Rice enjoys watching all the unique clothes come and go from the shop and even has his own share of clothing that he purchased from the store.
