Chat with the chief

The Student Recreation Center was this semester’s stop for “Chat with the Chief.”

Texas State University’s police chief Jose Banales was not the only member of UPD that showed up. Many men who lead parts of the department were also there.

Even though it was a rainy day, many students took part in the chat.

Chief Jose Banales is a Texas State University alumnus and said he is glad to serve his alma mate mater. He took his position in May 2016.

A table with snacks and information about services the University Police Department provides was front and center as students walked into the rec.

The set up at the rec was popular as UPD staff talked with many students before they went in to get their work out on.
