While students of Texas State are in isolation due to the COVID-19, it is very hard to gain and keep motivation while being indoors for days at a time. Here is my audio story on how I stay mentally and physically healthy in quarantine with my daily routine.
I always like to start off my day with coffee, and sit outside enjoying the air and surroundings.
Sometimes my homework requires heavy creative content, I can sometimes be on my computer coming up with different ideas for a few hours at a time.
Close up of my mom’s work computer keyboard. She wakes up as early as 5:30 in the morning so she can work for her company.
My sister, a varsity volleyball player for her high school, loves to play volleyball outside as her activity. I usually play with her most of the time, or she will play by herself against the wall of the house.
My mom started working on a new project in the house, making covers for the bench at the end of her bed because my dog keeps slipping and hurting herself. Her other previous projects included repainting the front door, calling for ceiling repairs, etc.
While my sister and I play some volleyball, we take our dog Lola outside and tie her around the tree so she can be outside without running away.
Our garage has its own little gym set up, and where i do my (almost) daily workouts.
Close up of the weights my mom has in the garage for our gym.
My mom and sister helping make chicken alfredo pasta, Not captured, however, is me burning the biscuits accidentally.
After my day, I begin watching a few episodes of a new television series I started, “Criminal Minds.” It is an FBI crime show, and I enjoy trying to figure out the suspects in each episode.
