Phi Beta Sigma, also known as Pi Xi, has been established at Texas State since 1983, and its values include “Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.” Members of Omega Phi Alpha meet in a room down the hall from Phi Beta Sigma on the same day, October 24, 2023. The members at the meeting include Kaylea Felfe, Camryn Hughey, Emily Huitron, Ria Marsh, Riley Belcher, Fatima Lindero, Aly Chavez, Alexa Villasenor, Kelly Barrios, Gisselle Bahena, and Brady Wallace. Omega Phi Alpha’s values include “Service, Leadership, and Sisterhood.” Omega Phi Alpha gets ready to fill up mini candy bags to pass out on campus to students. Texas State student Jacob Windsor plays his original song called “Split in Two” at the Talent Show Rehearsal on October 24, 2023, the day before the actual talent show, in LBJ Grand Ballroom. His song is available to listen to on YouTube and is posted under the channel @thejacobwindsor. Another contestant of the Texas State talent show rehearses her Adele cover the day before the talent show as well. The talent show was on October 25, 2023, in the same room, LBJ Grand Ballroom, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Texas State Korean Culture Club practices for the talent show during rehearsal on October 24, 2023, in LBJ Grand Ballroom, where they had a dance routine and won an award for it the next day at the actual talent show. Korean Culture Club (KCC) states that they “provide an inviting space for all students to learn, experience, and discuss South Korean culture.”
