Lazydaze Counterculture & Coffeehouse is new to San Marcos and educating the public on what they have to offer. There is still a lot of stigma surrounding CBD due to lack of information. Lazydaze is here to provide facts and resources that can help others, whether by being in good company or using their products.
Justin Sukhan, the operations manager for Lazydaze, is laughing while telling a story about how he learned to make all of the concoctions that are offered. Sukhan is at Lazydaze seven days a week and prides himself on helping others. Each Lazydaze is individually owned and operated. The San Marcos Lazydaze is owned by Texas State University alumni and has adapted to provide the city what it needs. This is representing San Marcos from the indoor setup, to the coffee and stage in the back. “It’s a San Martian,” said Sukhan. Along with CBD-infused coffee and teas, Lazydaze also offers nutritious shots, snacks and retail products. Lazydaze offers customizable beverages ranging from coffees to teas. Customers can select their preference of creamer, whipped cream and any other add-ins. Several of these options are CBD oil-infused. Children and pets are welcome at Lazydaze. That consider their customers family and their store a place where the public can hang out. Throughout the shop there are several works of art along with this article by the University Star. Lazydaze has not been open long and still being discovered daily. They are gaining exposure and spreading awareness for CBD. Lazydaze wants to be a pioneer in educating the public and making resources available for them to live healthy lives. Despite having information backed by research and credible sources, there are still people who have hesitations. “We won’t argue with anyone because we know our facts,” said Sukhan. “There are people stuck in the past. Even if you don’t like it, you shouldn’t be against it.” Lazydaze has its own coffee shop but also offers CBD-infused products for personal use such as body soap, body wash, face wash and lube. There are CBD vape juices, pre-rolls, buds that are sold by the gram and snacks such as dummies, pixie sticks and daily pills. Lazydaze uses the Hooked app and offers a ten percent discount to teachers, students and veterans. there are free yoga classes for customers on Monday nights and free vendors Thursdays which allow vendors to setup and showcase their items. Lazydaze is for anyone and everyone. It offers an environment for people to relax, whether its with friends or doing schoolwork. “We’re here to educate and create a culture where everyone is accepted,” said Sukhan. According to Sukhan and an employee from Lazydaze, Tiana Karnopp, there is still stigma surrounding their products. Dyllan Hofmann, a customer that got some of Lazydaze’s CBD dummies, said they work as a suppressor and can be used daily. “I’ve had grandmas come in that have pain and this makes them feel much better,” said Sukhan. Lazydaze offers free events and some require payment. They have grow in popularity and can be followed on social media for more information.
