Riverfest, the annual spring concert and festival organized by SACA, took place April 19 at Sewell Park.
Riverfest is a pride and tradition at Texas State. It gives students the opportunity to wind down and relax before facing finals.
The late spring afternoon served as the perfect atmosphere for Bobcats to relax and listen to live music. The sun tickled the skin, but the breeze kept everyone cool throughout the event.
Several vendors gave out free items, food and drink to Bobcats throughout the festival.
Many were kept cool with the free handmade pops vendors were giving out.
Attendees enjoyed great music by DJs and live musicians.
Danielle Johnson (left) and Reagan Thompson (right) attended Riverfest for the first time. The two friends enjoyed participating in activities and dancing along to the music.
As the semester comes to an end, and people prepare for finals and graduation, Bobcats joined together for a good time.
Hunter Lewin said, “I love that everything is free; but, I love that it’s also kind of local, so they’re bringing the concerts to us which is really, really cool.”
Sewell Park was full of several tents with free games to play. Cheers and whoops could be heard whenever anyone hit a bullseye.

By Megan Tran The Square is quite literally named after the shape. Businesses are lined up one-by-one around a single block forming a square. It has become infamous for college nightlife, crowded bars, small boutiques, spontaneous tattoos and restaurants. But that has drastically changed since the Coronavirus hit San Marcos. Coronavirus has viciously spread throughout […]
