The 2018 Buda Weiner Dog Races happened from April 28 to April 29. Dogs socialized and raced while their human counterpart socialized and enjoyed the beautiful sunny day in Buda.

The 21st annual Buda Wiener Dog Races were held on April 28 and 29, 2018.
The first race commenced at 10 am.
Owners posed with their beloved wiener dogs as they crossed the finish line.
The speedy pups were recorded reaching about 16 mph at the end of each race.
Friends, family members and people from all over the country cheered the dogs on from the sidelines and bleachers as the wiener dogs ran into their owner’s arms.

Puppy pools were set up just outside of the racing area so the dogs could cool off after they race.
Aside from the exciting races there were many other things to see and do. There were about 100 vendor tents, where you could find things like dog accessories, treats and other goodies.
Pony rides were available for children.
And even a petting zoo was set up with hungry Small goats and calves.
You could compete in carnival games for prizes.

The Saber Guild of Austin held tutorials on how to fight with a light saber just like they do in the Star Wars movies.
