The bakery, opened in 2005 along with the accompanying café located across the street, used to host these events only one Friday per month. However, due to the enthusiastic responses, now hosts Acoustic Fridays every Friday with new local artists taking the small stage. (Photo by Jessy Garza Audio: Cristina Carreon)
The bakery also had a happy hour on their alcohol selection from 6-8 p.m., so those who arrived early (including Williams and Taylor) were able to take advantage of the discounted prices. (Photo by Jessy Garza Audio: Cristina Carreon)
Luke Willams (left) and Kyle Taylor (right) are two members of the local band The Canvas People. They are also recent graduates from the area. “We perform in the San Marcos and Kyle area at least once a month,” Luke said. (Photo by Jessy Garza Audio: Cristina Carreon)
Both Williams and Taylor have been playing music together for four years, both as a duo and with The Canvas People. “Our first show was at Triple Crown before it was torn down,” Williams said. (Photo by Jessy Garza Audio: Cristina Carreon)

“We met through Wes, our guitar player (in The Canvas People,” Williams said in regards to how the band got together. (Photo by Jessy Garza Audio: Cristina Carreon)
Multiple people came by during the performance to study, relax, enjoy a cup of coffee or wine or simply to listen to the music. (Photo by Jessy Garza Audio: Cristina Carreon)
The bakery will continue to have regular musical guests performing each Friday, as shown on their Facebook page. (Photos by Jessy Garza Audio: Cristina Carreon)
